Preventing Wildfire Smoke Exposure in California
Course Description:
This course covers the hazards of wildfire smoke and how to prevent and control wildfire smoke exposure. This training is intended for California employees working in areas where the Air Quality Index (AQI) for particulate matter smaller than 2.5 micrometers in diameter (PM2.5), is at or above 151, and for areas where employers can reasonably expect their employees to be exposed to wildfire smoke. Wildfire smoke isn’t a hazard that should be taken lightly as it can cause numerous adverse health effects, from lung irritation, up to and including heart failure and death.
