Human Trafficking: Awareness and Response

Course Description:

This course will inform you of the basic foundation to understanding what human trafficking is and its relation to modern-day slavery, what it looks like, what you should do if you come across human trafficking.

At the completion of this module, the participant will be able to:

• Define human trafficking
• Identify the difference between labor trafficking and sex trafficking
• Recognize how traffickers target and groom their victims
• Identify where human trafficking can take place
• Identify red flag behaviors and indicators of human trafficking victims
• Respond to human trafficking properly, including interacting with victims and reporting suspicious activity
