Crane Rigging
Course Description:
Cranes are used in a variety of industries to lift and move large and heavy objects. But if a crane is not properly set up, rigged, and balanced, it can tip over or drop its load, causing injuries or fatalities to workers below and resulting in significant property damage. Proper rigging is an essential step to preventing these incidents. This training course identifies the basics of safe crane rigging, including hazards to be aware of, safe practices to follow, and actions to avoid.
This course is for crane riggers and workers who have crane rigging responsibilities in general industry. This course can also be used as awareness training for employees who work around cranes, but do not have any crane rigging duties.

- Inspect rigging equipment to make sure it’s in safe working condition

- Identify commonly used hitches and the best uses of each
- Follow safe working practices for rigging and working around cranes
